AOA Expands Eligibility to Med School Alumni

4 USU Medical School Alumni may now be elected annually.   Patrick G. O’Malley, Councilor, USU Gamma Chapter, AOA, extends an invitation for medical school alumni to consider nominating yourself, or a worthy colleague, to the USU Chapter of AOA.  If you are already a member of AOA, we ask that you nominate fellow USU alumni. Criteria:  USU Class of 2004 or earlier, and excellence in academics, professional activities, leadership, and community service.  In brief, demonstration of the highest level of professionalism, consistent with being “worthy to serve the suffering.”  We know this applies to  many of our USU alumni, so we hope you are responsive to this call. Host medical students in your practice!!!

USU School of Medicine seeks local area USU alumni involved in private/other practice who are willing to provide PRE-clerkship clinical opportunities to MS-I students.  Ideal opportunities would offer MS-I students the ability to participate–even in a limited way–and/or be responsible for, an element of direct patient interaction/basic care.  Time commitment is a few hours once or twice a month.  Contact Arnyce Pock to volunteer!!...

USU School of Medicine seeks facilitators for pathology course small groups as well as assistance with Medical History, Human Context, Medical Ethics, Introduction to Clinical Reasoning, & other courses.  Training will be provided so don’t worry if it’s been a while since you’ve been a student or actively involved in one of these disciplines.  These are not long-term commitments, opportunities occur on an as needed basis.  Contact Arnyce Pock to volunteer!!...
